TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

^I just had my first clay disaster at school. I had two whole classes worth of little pots and animals in the kiln. I struggled to get all these 1st and 3rd grade students to get 3 coats of each color glaze on--which is not easy for 6-9 year olds! Anyway, I opened the kiln and it looked like a batch of burnt cookies! Every single thing was the same dark brown color. I took a piece in to a local pottery store and the guy said he thinks it was the clay itself that made it happen but how I am going to face all those disappointed kids? LOL! Good teaching moment for what to do when life doesn't work out as you expected?

We have this great guy in town, Frank. He is a retired stock broker that makes all these outrageous costumes and plays accordian on the sidewalk downtown. The costumes always cover him (and his accordian!) entirely so he is anonymous. He has been playing for about 60 years and can play anything!

^awwwww...where did you find that little guy? You know Caleb got me into rabbits when he fell in love with his big white bunny at age 1. He and I made a scrap book about Bun-Bun when he was little and we put every rabbit picture we liked in it. I like that guy--he's like straight-jacket bunny LOL!

Bun-bun was his first white rabbit? The one your got before Herby? Rabbits are such a unique favorite animal. I've never met anyone else who loved rabbits like that.

We weren't too sure what it is made out of.
Looks like it may have several layers, or it could be paper mâché?
And no, paid artwork doesn't often come easy, but it's the best feeling. I am doing more paid work for the same guy right now. Except instead of a drawing it will be massive plywood cutouts
