TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

Does kangaroo taste like chicken just like every other meat? The only reason I know what a wallabies are is because I watched Roccos modern life as a kid and they gave us a little wallaby vs. kangaroo lesson in the show.

Our common road pest in the US are deer and they are so horrible. Some people argue they are graceful creatures but if you've ever seen their dumb face as they blankly stare at you while you are facing certain death with them standing in the front of your speeding car, you'll never forgive them.

PiP, such pretty pics! Is that the first rose of the season?

i've hit a couple deer in my life. the first time it took out a headlight and then just ran off in the woods. the 2nd time (only 2 days after the first) i wasn't as lucky. it was a big buck and nearly totaled my car and it died as well. not a fun experience. :(

i do still think it's neat to see them in the wild though...as long as they're not on the road. my parents have a big deer problem by their house and my mom constantly bitches about them eating her flowers and veggies out of the garden. she hit one with her car a couple months ago as well.

-Kangaroo meat doesn't really taste like chicken.. I think it's like a rich rare steak. Mmmm, it tasted better cooked rare also (well I prefer medium rare :p)
-Rockos modern life is amazing. I thought they only put that on for kids around here.
:D so cool that you remember the lesson in that cartoon.
-LOL

Spork, when we were going to get our 2nd dog in Ohio we were driving and a deer ran into the road. Instead of slowing down my boyfriend sped up and it ran into the side of his car and slid off. I thought most certainly I was going to die. There was one small scratch on the car, not even a dent!

THEN when we were driving down to Florida when we moved here 3 months ago we were driving in my car and we were on a pretty serious highway at night going like 90 and dear god another one stumbles out of the woods (They don't even walk or gracefully prance or anything) and in front of the car. I braced so hard and my boyfriend the ninja that he is floors the car and swerves in like a complete "C" shape around it. Good thing I had just gotten new tires but serious ninja moves were done.

And Trip, is it expensive? I love my beef rare I bet I'd love kangaroo rare too.

PiP your pictures make my brain unravel. In a kind of good way. The fawn and the wolves one is amazing. Did you find this online or what? I love how the fawn is depicted as the full spectrum. I feel like the artist tried to put a lot more meaning that just the fawn=good wolves=bad. Such a creative piece.

And the Mona Lisa I have no idea what that even is supposed to mean but it looks like it makes sense somehow.

Throwing seeds ;)

^ Sorry about that :(

Oh Libby that doll is awesome!! Made out of clay right? Clay sculpture is so cool but sooooo hard. I got this ornament made out of clay off Etsy of our little family

After seeing the ornament and getting it home I was like oh how hard can it be. So I bought myself some clay and decided to try and reproduce the same ornament. All I have to say about that is clay sculpture is hard!!!

Oh I find regular modelling clay alright, but this wierd polymer clay is tricky because it's already coloured and you can't smooth things in and blend parts together perfectly because then the colours would mingle. Regular old pottery clay is better because you can do whatever you need to do to get the perfect shape then just paint it after it's been fired. I wish I had some pottery clay.
