TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

^^Jap, lots of them ;) They're quite popular amongst hardcore football(soccer) fans although they're banned from the stadiums. The occasion is Borussia Dortmund winning the German football championship the second time in a row after collapsing financially and being on the edge of bankruptcy in 2006 and rebuilding the team with young, talented and formerly unknown players. Football is huge here and so is the gladness about the success. =D

A beautiful guitar performance on the weekend.
This is partially what my backyard got transformed into on Saturday night :)

Strawberry would be my preferred jelly taste. But unfortunately the jelly I feel isn't sweet and yummy. It's more an envious wish I was there kind of taste :P <3.

Spork, did you do that dissection?

i did! it went better than i thought it would of course too. i just needed to keep telling myself that it was for the sake of learning and i could do it. i'm all done with dissections for the semester now (and probably forever).

I've never had to dissect an animal.. thankfully!
Every time my science class dissected an animal i was actually at home sick. Weird!

@ Stardust. Im sorry! I just really enjoy jelly.

I had to dissect a cat in my Anatomy II class 3 times because I kept failing it. (thank you mephedrone) I still failed that class. The smell of formaldehyde would seep through the surgical gloves I was wearing and everything.

So happy for you spork!! Dissection is no small feat!

And Trip I prefer honey over jelly :P. Just as long as it's real honey and not that walmart shards'o'glass stuff.

i had to dissect a cow eye, a sheep brain, a sheep heart, and a fetal pig over the last few months. i still don't think i could ever ever do a cat though..it's just way too close to home for me.

and yeah, the formaldehyde smell is awful..i probably won't be forgetting that for quite some time.

^'Cow eye' eh?...ugh 'Aqueous/Viteous Humour'..brave Spork. Don't think my stomach could handle that
one. :/ ;)

DOOOOD it looks so awesome!!! Is that saltwater or freshwater?

And is it true you have crocodiles on your beaches 8o. I must know the facts!

^^ SOME beaches have crocs, but mainly just up north like Northern Queensland and Northern Territory. And definitely not down at Sydney. Sydney beaches have bluebottles (lil blue jellyfish that sting) and sharks though lol :D

Nice pics trip!! Looks like you caught some nice weather when you were out there yesterday :)

Another sensational morning at my parents farm today <3

The cows come up to the front gate and hang out there every single morning, so cute! It's like they're seeing me off to work every morning =D

I found a friend! :) (there were two of them actually, but one bounded away just before I took the shot)

I would hun <3- but I'd miss all this miserable, shite weather here - and then what would I have to complain about; only my own shortcomings?! ;) heh

I must admit(grudgingly) I ate kangaroo last year, and it was tasty- I do feel bad actually seeing a pic of one, knowing that. ugh, Im practically a veggie usually. This omnivore shit carries a weight of guilt. Well, I guess, at least I'l make some fodder for something some day-and I hope they find me 'tasty' or nutritious(at least)- what goes around, comes around and all that. ;) :)

Well!! Allow me to ease your concerns love! Firstly, the animal in my photo is in fact a wallaby, not a kangaroo. Secondly, kangaroos are considered a pest in some parts of Australia and some colonies have even been culled due to the negative effects on the land from their overgrazing. And lastly, kangaroo meat is quite commonly eaten over here. In fact, I have eaten kangaroo steaks for dinner twice in the last 3 weeks ;)
<3

lol it was raining really really heavily when i was there. it only cleared up for 5 minutes, that is when i took the pictures of the harbor!!
Hey, how delicious is kangaroo meat! Such a rich meat, love it !!
Kangaroos are such funky animals, so i feel bad whenever i do eat it. But one living in Australia does need to remember that they are often treated as pests.. And by eating them, at least they're dying for a good reason (like every other animal we consume on this planet).
