^ Cute as all get-out. And that's lot of cute. Believe me.
Ixchellian I don't have any sock pictures right now, and I will work on rectifying that. But I very much admire your sock offerings, all f them, bu tespecailly the brown and orange stripeys and the multi-stripes with fancy feets and toes. I do share your love of socks, especially with pants that have been cut short for biking. And most especially, with camo fatigues cut for biking.
1. Blue/snow camo for winter is one of my faves, with purple/green/white argyle over-the-knee socks.
2. plaid skinny pants (black, red, green, white tiny stripe; found in thrift store somewhere many, many moons ago) with red striped knee high socks. (I just found these in my closet after thinking I'd thrown them out, about which I was very sad. Plus, they fit me! Yea! I knew I'd been losing weight cuz more clothes were fitting but it was a pleasant gift from the clothes gods.)
3. black chalk-stripe trousers with knee-highs in pink and green stripes or pink and purple patterns or almost any combo of bright colors..
I'm a short woman so my knee-highs frequently go over the knee. Which is a good thing in my opinion. I love skirts and over-the-knee socks.
If San Francisco summer weren't just starting (September to November), I'd be busting out these styles at the mo' and taking snaps, but perhaps I'll just use this sock discussion as good inspirational food for thought so that I can get out and buy some really groovey socks before all the other girls hit the stores and buy up all the coolest and cheapest socks. Will return with sock pix.
Is it my imagination, or do BLers have an unusually powerful propensity for cool socks? And it also seems to me that they own more cool socks than the average cool person. I see an awful lot of awesome socks on this site. Not to mention panties and bras, but if I digress on that topic, I'll be writing all night..
