Nah man, seriously, once the tattoo is ON YOU, you will love it. It's not like you have only one chance to decide what you want. Your whole body is a canvas, presenting almost endless opportunities for more designs. Plus, if something doesn't turn out the way you'd hoped, sometimes you can get it covered up with a better tattoo a few years later (like I did with my star tattoo ;))

Similar to henna tattoos but they last 1-2 years instead of 1-2 weeks.
Or maybe I just had a dream and it doesn't really exist yet. Entirely possible =D

Let's see if I get sloshed enough on my 21st to finally decide to go with it and walk into a tattoo parlor and pay the guy. 8o
Won't be till next summer, but we'll see!

Ummmmm, one word of advice: You're probably much more likely to regret your tattoo decision if you do it when you're drunk!! :D
I would advise that you plan it out, speak to a tattooist, get them to draw some designs up for you, choose the one you're happiest with, and THEN get it done :)

I was 17 when I got my first two and the dude who did them advised me and my boy NOT to drink before coming to the shop. He said that alcohol thins the blood and makes the ink 'not take as well'. Not sure if its true or not but ya might wanna do some research before ya go there drunk (it would SUCK to have a shitty tattoo stuck on ya for the rest of your life, man)

I was also going to mention this, but in the context of aftercare of a new tattoo.
It's not wise to drink heavily in the few days/week after getting a new tattoo, as well as immediately before/during, because it slows down the healing process. A new tatt should be considered a wound which needs to be cared for and allowed to heal properly.
 
^^ also alcohol will thin your blood , and last thing you need is bleeding with your blood thinned while getting an ink done !!
 
eh not that you guys aren't right but i got my last tat after i was pretty tipsy and then got wasted afterwards. it came out fine, not that there was much detail ( it was only black lettering) and its still very dark and sharp. i also took real good care of it w/ that lotion stuff and cleaning it everyday. so maybe i made up for it.

I do about 90 push-ups, a shitload of pull-ups, and crunches a day. Thanks for noticing!

I actually didn't have any clean shirts branded with the shops name so I wore that one because I don't care if it gets trashed. Its too damn TIGHT!!!!

I told ya, man, I'll make a cheesesteak for ya that will LOAD ya with calories, fat and maybe clog your arteries. How 'bout a bacon and cheddar cheesesteak on a toasted garlic bread roll? We make one (that I think is disgusting) which is a pizza steak. Pizza steaks rule but this special one we make is shredded top beef, with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese baked in the oven. The part that makes it fucking ridiculous is we put mozzarella sticks on the bottom of the roll and lay the beef on top. Fuckin' insane if ya ask me!
