I was just thinking, not ten minutes ago, how lucky I am to have so many GREAT friendships. There is nothing in this world as important to me as my friends.

I'm seated in the middle. I've been friends with these three guys ranging from 12 to 15 years. We went through all kinds of crazy shit together when we were younger. We've seen each other through marriages, divorces, addictions galore, jail terms, serious accidents and illnesses, etc. There's no good reason a couple of us should even be alive. You have an incredibly strong bond with people you share that kind of colorful history with, IMO. I live far away from them now, and have for years, but we've always kept in close contact and I know we always will. :)
This photo was taken on Christmas Day 2009, getting plowed at a Mexican restaurant. %)

This kid:

is the younger brother of a guy I was roommates with in 1994. At the age of 14, he stole a car in South Carolina and drove it to Texas to come live with us. He and I became close friends during the year we all lived together. I hadn't seen him in 12 years when I ran into him about a year ago.

His brother, my old roomie, shot himself a few months before that. We still haven't really talked about it. I've known a lot of suicides in my life; the people they leave behind are bound to each other by shared pain. :(

had the misfortune to be my girlfriend for 4 years. We are still very close (although she's pissed at me right now), because of all the adventures we had together: Moved around the country together, living in 4 different cities; two suicide attempts (hers), two heroin overdoses (mine), various escapades and shenanigans too numerous to list. She is my best friend. :) <3

You have very nice eyes, those eyes are a great work of God, very profound, and no im not e-hitting on you:) But i'll admit they have me mesmerized:) very pretty lady take care of yourself.

Here is an old picture of me and one of my friends little brothers but you cant see him, ha. I was strung out pretty bad at this point and making funny faces for the camera [Holga]. I hate pictures of myself and I am skinny in this one, ugh.

Honestly, I know you look unhealthy and you are damn skinny there, but I think your very very attractive, and prob look amazing now with all your health back! and ive caught myself reading your blogs and am quite intrigued by your stories and your writing and the life you've lived.

I've been reading your blog and your posts for a while now! I love when you get to see someone for the first time.....I never had an image of what you'd look like- but your face fits :D

yeah i went to the lake, the one i think you're talking about anyway, but can't for the life of me remember the name of it either. it was beautiful and no more than 2-3 foot deep for as far as i can remember so you could go wading for ages if it was the right time of year.

my brother, his wife and kids are going there soon for a holiday, but they're doing the whole rent a house thing instead of doing it right and going camping.

i guess i'll have to pull out of scanner. i do have a picture of that lake as well. this is going back to year 7 camp, so 1998 the pics will be from.

you got a few pics to stalk:p check your pm:)
 
Thanks for the comments guys! I am kinda self conscious and constantly harp on myself about how I look. I wish I could get rid of that thinking but I dont know. The nice words help. Your lookin' pretty damn good to seduced and I love your bangs ocean, that Monopoly $ pic is pretty hot.

Yeah- nothin' hotter than a handful of monoploy money, pink polka dot pajama pants and a mismatched top in late night photos with no makeup!!! :D Luckily you can't really see me very well ;)
