TDS Photo Thread......Round 6!

Fraser Island is just beautiful, so much wildlife, lots of wild dingoes and the whales which I mentioned before. It's pretty basic in terms of shops etc but it's the perfect place if you love nature and beautiful isolated beaches like the one in the pic. And there are so many different types of vegetation, from mangroves, temperate forest and dense rainforest, it's just awesome!

Redleader, I agree the glasshouse mountains are so cool, just all these weird shapes jutting out of the landscape, such a nice area too, I'd love to go back.

indeed, i used to love visiting fraser when we lived in hervey bay:)

i could probably scan some old photos from my year 7 trip there to share
 
I love the way you Aussies get dressed up for the races, particularly you ladies in your pillbox hats and pretty sundresses :) :) :) I remember a pic of n3o at the races that was as adorable as your photo, footscrazy! So endearing!

Here I am on NYE, x-posted from elsewhere. The cropped one is my cousin and super cute, but probably wouldn't consent to her face being here. ;) I'd just been accidentally headbutted really hard by a 3 year old in the nose. I think I look a little stunned. :D

Aussies and dress up for the 'races'- This totally reminds me of Old time Australia ......
I always imagined it desert and like that movie Rabbit Proof Fence or something- but then I saw The Proposition and I can imagine the rich little ladies at horse races...... :)
Isn't it sad that my idea of Oz has been based arounf movies.....

oh and the little hats- I saw some here theother day and was tempted to try one on but couldn't do it:) They are very cute:)

Wow, my pic wasn't even posted for a minute and already I'm getting compliments from attractive women, I'm not used to that. Now I'm gonna be walking around the rest of the day with a big goofy grin like this =D


Neo: I figured it was horse races but I like to get my redneck on sometimes. VERY charming smile BTW, like the hat too.

N3o- I wish I could pull off the cute little hat, but I would look like a moron.
I love the 20's, 30's and 40's styles when women dressed up all cute.....
and I like styles even older (like victorian styles).
We seem so boring now......
I think that is why I like people like, Helena Bonham Carter and Bjorks' way of dressing- It is this bohemian,whimsical bag lady awesomeness! hahaha If I could go out lookin g like Helena Bonham Carter everyday, I would!!

Anyway- The hat is adorable!

That hat is great n3o, and such a cute pic. I usually just stick with the little feather or flower because the hats seem to be so expensive - especially for something I'm only going to wear once!

Mariposa, the races are great though sometimes I don't know why, the fun's really in getting dressed up, because apart from that it's just a long day in the sun with sore feet and not really doing much at all, haha. But I always go back ;)

toastedpanda - A lot of people seem to assume I'm male for some reason, but def not ;) You look like you'd be a real fun guy to hang out from your pics, lots of personality in them :)

Lefty you def should post some Fraser Island pics. Did you ever go to that lake in the middle of all the sand dunes...? I've been trying to remember what it was called, all I remember is you have to walk for ages over all this sand before coming to this beautiful lake in the middle of it all.
And I think I need another photo of yours to stalk ;)
