this is picture lake in the cascades - like an 80 minute drive from our house, and we have only been there a few times for short periods of time. and another summer with out going camping again! we have lived in this place of magnificent nature for 6 years, but have only camped out for probably less then 24 hours.

but we have thousands of pictures though, so that hours of stuff to look at for years.

Two pieces of advice:

1) Arch your bloody fingers!
2) Use ImageShack ;)

Looking forward to harry beast updates!

Photos from a train trip to Whistler in October, 2008. Whistler is about 125 kilometres (78 miles) north of where I live. Pictures re-sized to 800x600.

Thanks RL...that's my favourite too. I'm a bit of a train geek and I like nature so this trip was the best of both worlds. :)

I have a Q for you-
Is Whistler the bigger mountain closer to the coast?
Looks sort of like an M???

I think Blackcomb is the bigger mountain, but Whistler mountain does sort of look like an M and it is the one closer to the coast.

Blackcomb mountain is on the left and Whistler mountain is on the right.

I'm looking from a different angle-
This is not the Mountain I think is Whistler but the next big one eastward-
Do you know what I'm talking about or am I making it confusing?
I will try to take a picture later today of the one I think is Whistler......

Do you know the name of this one??

Are you thinking of Mount Garibaldi?

edit: Linked to another picture as the one I'd linked to earlier disappeared.

Ocean, I was jealous as well until I read post #532. I think Dave is just being kind and telling us it was horrible when it was probably absolutely delicious!

This is a repost from the lounge, but this is how I get down on the piano. I consider myself a cross between Stevie Wonder, Billy Joey, and the guy from Coldplay...witht the hair of Jerry Lee Lewis(no 13 yr old cousin bangin though) Hair now though, not when this was taken like a year ago.

DC- That look slike the mountain I call the Mitten Mountain.....We took more pics of the Canadian mountains from our angle......When the trees lose their leaves I'll be able to see them from my bedroom window :)

OD- You look great man!! Way to go on your sobriety! So exciting! :D
Also, I too think Dave was just being kind......you know that pretzel was so tasty- wonder if he had german mustard to dip it in;) yum yum yum.

DC- Positive thinking is a very powerful thing!

OD/ocean-- I wish. It seriously was disappointing. Better ones were eaten later though, albeit without photographic evidence.

Funny story about mustard: on the way home I was trying to find a place for my 5 tubes of awesome German mustard, but couldn't. Suddenly I see an open, half-full bag (as I was travelling with my family), and packed it in there. The next day we're in Frankfurt airport, and I realize that I just packed 6 250 mL tubes of liquid/gel into my Dad's carryon! Considering that he hates travelling, and especially airport security, I really felt like an ass.

The worst part? They confiscated my mustard! Fuckers. I can get it at home, but it costs WAY more, and only comes in jars rather than convenient tubes.

My goal is to learn how to make pretzels before November for when my German relatives come over to visit.
