Tattoos

2 tats, first one celtic band on my arm and also a small celtic symbol on my left side of my chest.. first was a due to a change in lifestyle/location etc... second was on my birthday when my sister got one also, similar design etc, bonding I guess.
Mom freaked, but explained that if she hates it (for no reason) it will make me hate it and where will that get us, so she thought about it and actually likes it now and shows it to her friends when i visit..
Agree with belky21 and others, addictive...
And to those thinking of getting one, it does hurt but if my ex can get 3 of them and a piercing anyone can, as she couldnt handle any pain but did...
 
I was thinking of getting a slanted southern cross across the front of my right shoulder, just below and to the right of the collar bone. Call it tacky patriotism but, for purposes of employment i'll probably spend a lot of my future overseas so i figure its my way of taking a part of oz with me.
I'm still working up the balls to get it done and deciding whether in 10 years i'll think of it as tacky. Feel free to talk me into it or save me from a dire mistake. Anyone got any expertise in tattoos on the upper chest, front of shoulder region?
 
I was lucky that both my tatts didn't hurt when I got them. One's just below the waist on the right side and a celtic triangle on my back. One thing though, if you're getting one on the back and don't want your folks to find out - make sure it's on either the upper or lower back where it's not easily visible whenever you sit down.
 
I have a huge Japanese Kanji symbol for "way of harmony" on my back, done by a pupil who I trained in the martial arts.
Here's a chance for you to influence my next one;
Before I leave for Oz, I am thinking of getting another tattoo. I want one of the Welsh flag, as, despite all my misgivings about Wales, it is precious to me.
So your thoughts on it, but more importantly, where on my body should it be?
No "on your arse, as Wales is a shithole," comments please?
 
I have a tattoo on the right side of my lower back. It has a siamese fighter fish and a chinese symbol. It's a bit smaller than my palm and has the symbol in black, fish in colour.
I considered it for over a year (same picture), got it done less than a year ago, and love it.
The symbol means 'brave/bravery' and i'd like to think i am fairly brave but could always use more courage. Sometimes think of getting another one, but like they say 'first is the big thing, next ones are fashion really'. But no regrets!
p.s wiretrippa, what ya gonna write? 'errare humanum est' :) ?

On your chest would be a good place for a flag ,right or left side .Would it be a straight edged flag or a blowing in the wind flag?
I'll see what the artist can come up with, a blowing one would be nice. Can they tatt white into skin now? I'm thinking the small of my back may be a nice place.

which is why i havent posted anything here - ive typed out the same story over and again at least 2 times.
also did a quick search and couldnt find it. i know one of the old threads was about Xtine's piercings and general bodyart.

Actually, I was planning on getting "Omnia mutantur, nihil interit".
It means "Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost".

just the one for me (so far, must restrain must restrain must aaa fuck it get another one) left ankle a very colourfull fox crusn of a motorbike. wanted it for 6 years b4 doing it went to 6 tatooists to find one that could do it.reason. love bikes, have a love , hate thing with foxes(respect) and left ankle was smashed in a bike accident many years ago . hope you all approve.
 
Settled the design and price, getting it done Monday!! Whheee whoo...
