Target (the store)

Let me preface this by saying I AM NOT making fun of Americans here. I always get accused of that when I ask a question here and I'm honestly just curious.

Do you guys pronounce it "Target" (like the thing you aim for) are "tar-jay" (like so it sounds French)? I've heard both....?

The "tar-jay" comes from how un ironically fancy that store is not ...

Its basically all the cheap imported garbage you can order off amazon in one big building

My wife and I say both. If we’re discussing the difference between going to like Wal-Mart and Target. Then we get fancy with it and call Tar-jay because Wally World is a hell hole. Or at least it was where we used to live. I’m pretty sure WalMart is miserable everywhere except like for the “nicer rural Walmarts”.
