Tapering off xanax

Ok, so I’m on Xanax and have been since April. There for awhile I got up to ~16 mg/day. Now I want to get off, because the last time I went “cold turkey “ and experienced anxiety that was debilitating!!! It took 2 weeks until I was semi unafraid of people, but a full month to get back to normal. Question: is Etizolam (atizolm) a good tapering drug????

diazepam or clonazepam are the best to use. what area of the country are you from?

Lower dosage this way every 5 days: 16->12->9->6->4->3->2->1.5->1->0.75->0.5->0.25->off

I know it takes ages to tapper down like this, but i did it this way and i didn't have any WD at all (but i went down from 2mgs)
