The reason I ask this is becasue Tapentadol has an oral bioavailability of around 32%! Does anyone have any experience with snorting the tapendaol in form of pure powder and if so please give some details.
On the other hand from what i've read "Tapentadol undergoes extensive metabolism, including first pass metabolism. Tapentadol is metabolized primarily via phase 2 glucuronidation to tapentadol-O-glucuronide and metabolized to a lesser degree by CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 to desmethyl tapentadol 13%, and CYP2D6 to hydroxytapentadol 2% (Terlinden et al., 2010; Terlinden et al., 2007)".
I don't understand if this is a case of prodrug (codeine, tramadol, soma, etc) because if tapentadol itself acts as such the purpose of snorting it would be defeated. This is the main reason people that take codeine, tramadol, soma or any prodrug take orall 100 of the time. I'm very conflicted b/c I've reports of people shooting it and working much more effective as expected so I guess its not a produg type of action.
Can someone please help me out on this issue please?
p.s. I do know that it burns (immagine mephedrone but worse to the point of tears) however I dont plan to do it that much at all and from experience with the exception of morphine and prodrugs all opioids have at least doubled in potency when snorted (hydromorphone for example, 3-6mg orally with no tolerence is like a t3 but snorted your nodding out proper).
