Talk about your 'useless doctor' experiences here!

^^^ i agree with this, but I am in no position to report any of the drs who have messed me up by prescribing dangerous med combos (happened more than once) or who have treated me disgustingly as i need to see drs on an extremely frequent basis. If I were to do so, I am at risk of compromising the care that I receive from the ok drs. In the uk it works this way, you report drs, police any official figure with authority and you get fucked over royally.

I am waiting to be treated privately by an expert in my condition who is highly recommended and professional, good bed side manner and actaully knows what she is talking about, the only problem is I cannot travel to her and need to wait for a cancellation for her to visit me, she is extremely busy which is a good sign.

Hopefully I will be able to see her in the next 2 months and get the care and treatment that I need so I have actually have some quality of life instead if this existence that I have been living for the past 28 months, I am like this for life and need the correct care.

I hate reading all of these horror stories as i know how detrimental they are to our physical and mental health.

I hope you all get better quality treatment soon <3
 
I have too many of these experiences to even count!

It is very easy to get an appointment at my doctor's surgery, whereas most in my town are fully booked by 9:05 am.

I assume it's because my doctors are clueless that you can get an appointment so easily, it bugs me.
 
i can never get one at mine, you ring from 8.30 and phone is either engaged or no answer then there's nothing left by time you get through. my pm dr was the worst he put me on 3200mg gabapentin, 40mg prozac and 400mg tramadol and i ended up in hospital after 6 weeks with serotonin syndrome. that was only one of his fuck ups
 
thats crazy! sorry to hear....

It's weird in the UK with the NHS, they try and make out every doctor is on par with one another, so not the case.

I hope you find someone who can help you, and I totally agree with you about reporting 'official figures' - no justice over here at all anymore!
 
i am waiting to see a private specialist so fingers crossed.

i hate this country i am struggling to get esa and dla too when i cant even get out of bed most days. david cameron can kiss my arse
 
my best friend's dad is an alcoholic (high functioning and an awesome guy) and take pills that apparently aren't supposed to be mixed with each other, and aren't supposed to be mixed with alcohol also. He's prescribed benzos also. Maybe I'm just overly paranoid about drug interactions, but if I were him I'd be fucking terrified of a mixture of drug interactions with an alcohol and benzo withdrawl/hangover and get brain zaps (which i heard he was getting) or epileptic shit. Doctors that just hand out pills like candy remind me of pseudo-scientific witch doctors. The doctors that hand out weed like candy, or friendly chemists handing out lsd/mdma, remind me more of real witch doctors :P haha I'm so toasted :D
 
I manipulated my psychiatrist and doctor into giving me benzos, stims, and sleeping pills I didn't necessarily need from the time I was 13 until 17. After my last inpatient stint (8 1/2 months) they decided to cut me off. It sucks because I've developed a chemical dependency to stims and benzos and now that I'm finally clean I'm struggling more socially and academically than ever before. It pisses me off that a kid my age could dupe these doctors into giving me meds that would ultimately make me a into a dysfunctional young adult.
 
That is absolutely disgusting that your dr would be so negligent to prescribe that lot to a minors. It sickens me!!!!
