taking xanax for hangovers

is it safe to take xanax the day after heavy drinking?

i tend to have bad anxiety for a day or two after a night of binge drinking.. feel clammy, sweaty, heart rate is off. is taking xanax a good solution or will it just cause more problems?
 
Yes Benzodiapines mimic the effects of alcohol and affect GABA receptor which calm you down.

So yes people have been taking xanax and other benzo's for hangovers and even acute alcohol withdrawal.

Just don't do it too often so you don't get addicted. Also do not combine big amount of both.
