taking suboxone normally after bad experience shooting it?

Today around 4 pm I decided to try and shoot 1mg Of suboxone strip w naloxone. Worst idea ever. The last time I shot heroin was last night around 2 am. Thought it would work. Nope...I went instantly into horrid instant withdrawal!!! I had always feared that and look what happened....needless to say, NEVER AGAIN! I now am trying to detox myself and want to eat suboxone now. Its been about 15 hours since my last shot. Im usually always fine to eat it after twelve hours. But since I shot the first and went into instant withdrawal, will I be able to take suboxone sublingually as directed and be OK? Will it still help me? Thank you guys.

Honestly depends. Are you going to shoot it or take it sublingually? If so, how long are you going to stay on it for? How many hours have passed since your last dose? How long have you been taken H?

There are a lot of factors to consider.

You shot up naloxone, what were you expecting? That's what it's there for- so that people experience that fucking god awful feeling if trying to shoot up suboxone after being on opiates. Not to mention that bupe itself is a partial antagonist.

At 2mg, sublingually, id wait until you're in horrible w/d's and you can't take it anymore. Then you'll be good to go with dosing it sublingually, the naloxone is irrelevant when you're taking it under the tounge. I waited around 14-15 hours after using oxy, and I was taking doses of 400mg. It was uncomfortable, I did get some precipritated w/d but nothing like I'd expected.

the bupe and the naloxone both are the reasons why u went into precip WD. u can only shoot suxobone if its the only opioid ur physically dependent too, without precip WD, naloxone will not play any negative roll if u IV suboxone and not addicted to opiates
