So i've been doing tramadol for the past coupke days i have a high toleranxe to opiates so i take usually 400-450mg in a day because of seizure warnings.
I was wondering does zolpidem have anti-convulsant effects?
I took 500 mg today
Would i be able to take more if the zolpidem is im my system?

I would strongly advise you not to take more than 400mgs of Tramodol a day, regardless of what other medication you are taking unless its uner medical supervision and I doubt any doctor would tell you to exceed 300Mgs.

The half life of Zolpidem if is shorter than the Tramadol and even though it isn't technically a Benzo its not far off so you don't want to be taking them all day. Everyday tolerance will build really quick, I have no idea how much of an anti convulsant they are but I'm betting there not a very good one compared to a a proper long half life benzo.

Short answer IMO you shouldn't take more than 400Mgs of Tramadol a day ...its not a good look what with all that twitching and drooling;)

Zolpidem has anti-convulsant effect. But markedly less then benzodiazpines, according to one study, 2-6 times less depending on which benzo is used, for similar level of sedation, and is not used as such in practice. It would not be a wise idea to count on zolpidem for suppression of seizures, given the lack of evidence supporting it for such use.

For what its worth, while the recommended maximum daily dose for oral tramadol is 300mg, It is 600 for parenteral administration, and is not generally problematic at that dosage. Of course, it is generally the case that one is under professional care if being administered it by injection. For the sake of HR, I am not endorsing exceeding 300m.g. but figured I'd share that for interest.
