Taking MDMA safely while on moclobemide

Hey everyone,

So, Girlfriend is on 450mg daily of moclobemide. We will be attending a party around June where we plan on taking MDMA. Girlfriend will interrupt moclobemide probably 5-7 days before ingesting MDMA and she will resume taking moclobemide 24hrs after taking the MDMA.

Just wondering if this is a safe course of action? We are aware of the dangerous interactions and thus want to make things as safe as possible in order to have a fun time at said party.

apart from stopping an antidepressant to take mdma being a bad idea in general (she's taking the moclobemide for a reason and mdma is not making that better; stopping moclobemide for a few days also isn't going to help), you plan sounds fine.
moclobemide has a pretty short half life compared to more common antidepressants and it's a reversible maoi so i don't see any problems there. if anything i'd reduce the waiting period between stopping the moclobemide and taking the mdma by a bit and add another day of pause after taking mdma. mdma has a long half life than moclobemide.
