Taking klonopin on very little sleep?

I took amphetamines yesterday around 3 PM and slept for three hours this morning after taking 1 mg of klonopin around 2 AM.

I have to go to work at 2 PM for an 8-hour shift and I don't think I can fall back asleep before then. I plan on drinking some caffeine to get some energy. I get a little edgy on no sleep, and especially with caffeine, I can feel a little panicky. Would taking another klonopin before my shift help with that? Or is the klonopin I took last night still running through my system?

Also, if I did take more klonopin could it possibly make me too drowsy because of my lack of sleep?

I have very little experience with benzos. Usually if I take clonazepam I take very little, like .5 mg. My first time I took 1 mg and was literally falling asleep wherever I was for 24 hours. I also have a fast metabolism, if that helps to clarify anything.

I just don't want to experience the panicky-anxiety :|

Thanks in advance :)

it is my experience that taking large amounts of downers for a stimulant come down but then not letting yourself fall asleep can make you a bit delusional.

that said, small amounts can make you feel better. though certainly more tired. it's a balance. good luck.

Clonazepam (Klonopin) is a long-acting benzodiazepine, so it's likely that it is still having an effect on you though its not at all noticeable. I don't know what time zone you're in but it's already 2:30 pm where I am. So no, I definitely would not recommend another Klonopin before work. It will just make you tired and drowsy. If you have time for a little nap, that will work wonders.

If you had a little dose of amphetamine left, that would've been great to take before going to work - just to perk you up and give you energy. But since that's not the case, use energy drinks and just keep focused. Don't overdo caffeine, it will work against you if you overdo it.

What kokaino said is correct, taking another, especially on no sleep with one still running in your system, chances are you will feel very drowsy and start nodding off during work.

avoid the caffeine except in really tiny amounts, it always sketched the hell out of me when i had had no sleep at work

^Take this advice. Don't overdo the caffeine, in fact, moderate it as much as you can. It can cause lots of anxiety at high doses and a lot of energy drinks have too much caffeine in them to begin with (in my opinion).

I would get some sleep as soon as you can, a full night's sleep, and make sure you eat a healthy meal beforehand. You'll feel 100 times better in the morning. Good luck!
