Im going to a big party, and was wondering if etizolam can replace alcohol. Im going to smoke some weed with it.

I had to many bad experiences with alcohol lately, waking up random places, 3 times in a hospital in less then a month, i know this is a clearly sign to slow down
Its pretty weird im getting so wasted, i used to drink a bottle of vodka without blacking, now i only need 12 beers or so.

Do you think it will be a good idea, or just plain stupid?

Thanks

I think it's a bad idea to try to use etizolam like alcohol in the hope that it'll be similar. If you take too much etizolam you'll black out for hours, slurring your words, you can end up doing all kinds of shit and you won't remember a thing. Although this happens on alcohol, it's far worse for drugs like etizolam, and far easier to do. Do not binge on etizolam, like you may do with alcohol. They're two completely different beasts and you have to respect that these differences are not to be ignored.

In case the thought crossed your mind, combining both etizolam and alcohol is exponentially more dangerous than doing either/or. Binging on the alcohol, the etizolam or both in equal amounts could realistically kill you via accumulated CNS depression.

I wouldn't recommend using etizolam in place of alcohol for a party. From my experience, using benzo's as a party drug is not the best choice. The two substances, while similar, induce very different effects. As far as benzo's go, etizolam especially is known for inducing blackouts, and combing the two is just a bad idea. I can see a scenario where you take the etizolam before the party, get really faded out, and then decide to start drinking on top of it because everyone else is. And seeing how you have been having blackouts from drinking lately, it just kind of as bad written all over it. Stick to the booze if you must, and do your best to regulate how much you drink. Easier said than done, however.

Damn, I wouldn't recommend alcohol OR etizolam.

This issue is raised all the time, like is it worth tempting a benzodiazepine addiction to save someone's liver from an existing alcohol problem?

Honestly, many people become addicted to benzodiazepines after taking them during opiate withdrawal (usually in high doses too) , or alcohol WD, or whatever, the point is benzodiazepines have serious short and long term consequences, and should not be used "to replace" alcohol, per se, but if examined by a doctor, who justifies replacing alcoholism with benzodiazepine therapy to prevent further liver damage, or something, maybe it's a step up, but not a solution.

Like the others have said, I wouldnt recommend it.

The thing I would worry about is being tempted to drink at the party regardless, because you took etizolam and your inhibitions are lowered. I'm talking from experience, etizolam is one seductive bitch and you don't want to start a benzo habit.

It was a long story I posted at drugs forum (same username there if your interested). But take it from me, if you think blacking out and doing stupid stuff is a problem with alcohol, stay the hell away from benzos. I personally used benzos responsibly and in a controlled manner for a month or so, then one day I just... lost it. I for some reason decided to take more, and thats all I remember.

I woke up the next day hallucinating, confused, Id pissed myself, I was high as a fucking kite, I couldnt speak a legible sentance. It was in all a horrible event. Even worse was convincing everybody I hadnt tried to killmyself, without owning up to a drug problem. It turns out Id just gone nuts and taken every drug I had at the time (something id never even dream of doing normally, no drug has ever made me make such bad decisions before). Many people are fine with benzos, but in my experience they are terrible for doing things you regret. A good friend of mine just started doing coke again after kicking the habbit for the best part of a year. Exactly the same thing happened to him, he took etizolam, like normal, then lost control and took more, bought thousands, and thousands in coke. Had a 5 day long bender. And exited not knowing what had happened with a coke addiction and massive debt.

Also both of these instinces where caused by etizolam specifically (I know its not technically a benzo). Other benzos dont seem to suffer this to such a degree.

I just re read that, and It does not accurately convey just HOW confused I was when id woken up in hopsital like that, with no memory of why. In my stupid high state, Id taken everything I had in my stash which was, some mxe, some ket, a lot of kratom, some codeine, a fair bit of oxy and to top it all off, an extremely large amount of diphenhydramine (this was in there PURELY to help with the itching from opiates. I should probabaly be dead 8(.

Im normally a very controlled person when it comes to drugs, But benzos just creep up on you. I have spent a long time thinking about it, and on my usual dose, i just snapped, and nothing I couldve done would have brought back reason and logic to my mind. For me persoanlly there is no safe way to use benzos.
