Hey does anyone have some tips for keeping a healthy nose from snorting a lot of drugs? Im already trying to cut back so dont say "stop snorting drugs". What are some tell tale signs that its time to stop using before permanent damage is done?

I've been snorting a certain med for about a month now (almost everyday) and I've had frequent nosebleeds, although theyve become less common as I spread out the lines more with less mass, and the drug no longer burns to snort or drip down my throat. what kind of damage am I doing to my nose that I cant see or feel? what are signs that can clearly be interpreted as a need to stop?

Also, I've been snorting salt water occasionally in between lines do you guys think that can help? Im going to try to take a break effective tomorrow.

Yeah come to think of it, my nose hasnt actually gushed blood in a week or two think its from spreading out the lines and snorting water. still sometimes snot with bits of blood in it though.

Nose care tips:
- Saline (salt water) rinses are definitely a good idea. Rinse the inside of your nose both before and after every time you snort. You can buy nasal solution.
- If your nose is irritated, bleeding, or after long nights of railing, you may want to apply Vitamin E oil or antibiotic ointment to the inside of your nose (using a clean q-tip).
- If your nose is bleeding hold off on snorting again until it's had some time to heal.
- Always use clean straws (don't reuse or share straws and don't use dollar bills or anything that has been hanging out in unsanitary conditions)

Signs of nose damage:
- heavy, frequent or prolonged bleeding
- change in shape, size or symmetry of nostrils
- lasting stuffiness
- decreased ability to breathe normally through the nose
- impaired sense of smell
- nasal infections
- frequent runny nose and/or watering eyes (depending on what drug you're snorting - if it's an opioid these are common withdrawal symptoms too)
- perforated septum (a hole starting to form in the septum - stop snorting immediately if this happens)
