Taking bupe while high on codeine (non-opioid dependant)

I'm going to start you your own thread for this questions. Check out the State of BDD thread in the BDD Threads of Note linked in my signature.

As for your question the buprenorphine in the suboxone will out-compete and therefore displace the codeine (or more accurately c-6-g and morphine) at your mu-opioid receptors. In tolerant individuals this results in precipitated withdrawal until the bupe takes over which is extremely unpleasant. In non-dependent individuals it is debatable whether or not you would experience PWD. It might just completely sober you up and then have the bupe kick in (what I used to think) or the ripping of the drugs off your receptors might make for an uncomfortable couple of minutes before you get high off again (what some people claim).

Let us know how it turns out :)

Thanks, I'll just save the Suboxone for another day. I'll wait untill my systems cleared out of codeine(which sholdnt be long, I dont use very often, just a few times a month. I also never have withdrawl from drugs cuz I dont take them very often, thats why I thought I could take the Suboxone since I'm not withdrawling from codeine Thanks again

Just wondering, If a person was give 15 T3s w/30mg codeine for a sore neck, took them as needed (for 3 days) then took 2 mg of suboxone would that person have PWDs? Remember he was never addicted to Codeine. Ive searched everywhere and there is Alot of conflicting advice. Even the Mega Thread has no answer.
