Sydney - Ice / Crystal Meth quality

Ice quality in Sydney has been absolutely crap lately. It's like pseudoephedrine hydrochloride with some epsom salts thrown in being passed off as Ice. Availability of authentic stuff seems to be zero.

As to your statement, if anyone tends to disagree with you I'm sure you'll hear, but no questions directly relating to availability please. You also asked a speculative question about lab busts which is impossible to answer. If however you presented the question with a media article or better implying the same, then it's a different matter altogether (and something we thrive on ;).

I have found it the same here in Brisbane. Everyone i talk to has been commenting on the latest crystal like product. It seems that the quality pure rock crystal which was once abundant, has dried up. Now people are trying to deliver a similar chunky product, but which is VERY harsh to smoke and when injected gives considerable 'vapour rushes'.

Its rather sad, and personally our circle is going back to our old friend 'base'...which has been a hell of a lot more reliable in the last 3 weeks.

Whats everyone else think in thier neck of the woods??

melbourne is the same, shit quality.... takes alot to get fucked up.
and the one time i have got it good in the last 2-3 months
it was fucken unbelievable and couldn't get more:(

The Ice going around sydney right now seems 2 be shocking.. I had 3 decent sized crystals.. like not ur little shards but actual nice sized crystals.. had all those in the space of about 30 minutes, smoked a few cones and was asleep by 1am.. great stuff :(
 
Erba, would you say the same thing if all you could score was k and speed bombs???
I agree with your 2nd sentence, but the first i don't.
Poor quality drugs suck and should be frowned on.;(
 
I have encounterd the same thing in Melbourne. I've only come across decent 'ice' two or three times in the last month or so, everything else seems to lack the euphoria that meth should bring.
Fuck knows what the hell is in it because it doesn't seem to taste the same when smoking, and when IV'd it feels alot hotter than good stuff.
Within ten minutes you feel the same as you did before you had it. :(

But on a much lighter note, in my adventures I very recently stumbled across some beige waxy rock, which was always a firm favourite in it's heyday a few years ago (before 'ice')
I'm sure the vintage meth-heads here will remember the joys of that stuff. It was always the most sought after gear for us back in those days.
The waxy beige rock I saw recently looked the same, tasted the same, had the same consistency and the same great meth rush when IV'd as the old stuff did. It's just as good as it always was, I felt like I had run in to an old friend when I saw it!
...And whats more, it even smokes like the old stuff, with a smooth flavour and only leaving a dark stain on the glass.

(yes people, the old waxy rock was smokable all along! ;), due to the unavailablitity and relative unknown status of 'ice' and meth pipes back then, we always found ourselves piucking up little bits of tinfoil from around the house after a good weekend =D)
 
I have found this in Sydney big time. About 2-3 months ago there was HEAPS of really really good stuff that got you high almost immediately. the Last month or so has been terrible. Buzz is about as strong as the average crap goey peddled on the street. Sometimes even weaker IMO. That said, it has been a bit cheaper.

Even more incentive to not use it any more. Evil shit.
 
I am predicting a resurgence in the popularity of GOOD base as people become disenchanted with 'crystal'. After using some nice base for the first time in a while (start of crystal drought) I remembered how nice it was to KNOW your on something. For me crystal was often so clean and pure that i would lose the feeling and fall asleep!

I would like to know the difference in damage done to the body between crystal and base though...

Goo/base/paste = impure product containing anything from unreacted pseudo, side reaction products, unreacted reagents etc + solvents


Crystal = closer to pure, less side reaction products and unreacted chemicals present, and vitually no solvents.

While crystal may fuck up several areas of the body with longterm high dosage use, base will likely do it quicker and probably include other potential organ damage. Just think, would you could expect your health to be if you were snorting/eating/shooting toluene, acetone, xylene or dichloromethane every day or so, let alone the soup of synthetics and chems that goes with it. The liver, kidneys, brain and heart are the organs most at risk. Damage may also result to the pancreas, stomach, duodenum, intestines etc etc. The thyroid gland can be affected by iodo-compounds (impurities) which may alter the ratio of T3:T4 (thyroid produced hormones) which leads to major health problems. Some people may be more or less prone to thyroid upsets, but it's something everyone should be aware of.

Try crystallising your base by rinsing with cold acetone. Details are given elsewhere on this board. Take the cleaned product back to your dealer. Show him that before handing back the acetone with the shit. Then demand for a refund ;)

What gets me is that NZ cooks have been turning out high purity product for years? What's so different about NZ to Aus? Availability of chemicals? Skill of the chemists or what? It comes down to what the market will accept against what time and profits are lost from purification. Anyone with basic lab skills can do it. Most "big" cooks undoubtedly clean their own, as I'm sure they'd like to think they'll be around long enough to spend their hard earned fortunes.

I'd agree this is generally right, but in the case of some of the shitty crystal going around now, you can be sure it's actually less closer to pure than some of the base around. Fuck knows what is in it, but it sure as hell aint a reasonable dose of meth!

Have any of you guys tested what you have? My stuff has recently been a little different, so i tested it with an E1 and it fizzed and smoked, but produced no colour change. When you had it, it tasted different and produced no euphoria, but it sure wired the hell out of you. It was almost so clean that you didn't know you were on it, but when i stopped and thought about how i was acting, i laughed, because i was absolutely jacked. Up until about three days ago, i was using this stuff everyday for the last five days. I was sleeping 8-9 hours a night [with assistance ;)] but i was getting absolutely wired during the day. I am starting to think what i have could be 4-MAR. It certainly would explain a few things. I will verfify once i can properly test it...

Well if it's 4-MAR I was getting, I can honestly say I sure as hell don't like 4-MAR.
I'd like to see your test results though, could be interesting.
I'll see if I can get some of what I've seen around tested, I'm pretty reluctant to spend another penny on it though, I really don't like whatever it is going around as 'ice', whatever it is. The aforementioned beige rock is everything I have been missing since the good 'ice' dried up.
