yeah man, you have to be a savvy medical consumer to make sure you always get the most out of your money you spend on healthcare. And so much of the cost is just getting into the office, not necessarily the amount of time you spend there. I always throw in 1 or 2 prescriptions they can write me, and have them look at anything else that is bothering me, ask them for samples of creams and shit for scars, hit em up for free condoms, bandages, drug company paraphernalia, etc...
Did you just tell him your bicep was swollen after an intravenous injection?
I had to go in one time for complications from injecting, so i just told them that I had been given EPO incorrectly by a fellow cyclist and I didn't get treated like a drug addict, I got treated like an athlete who dopes, which is to say I got treated alot better than I most likely would have.
The doctor was just like, "I know this is really popular with you cyclists, but you have to be careful and have a trustworthy trainer. Oh, and here's a script for percocet, because that probably hurts, and here's a script for antibiotics. What kind of bike do you ride?" "Oh that's cool, where do you guys ride? I ride with a group of doctors on the weekend, they are pretty slow, though." "When are your training rides? Do you think I could come on a few?" etc, etc...
