Hey guys, i was recently switched from morphine IR 60mg (daily) to oxy/naloxone 20mg/10mg x 12 hours. I have got the pills but i have yet to make the switch. I told my doctor i was worried about making the switch, however she has assured me i willl not suffer from withdrawals but after reading up on this new drug i started to become concerned. Has anyone succesfully made the switch from an IR opiate to ER oxy/naloxone?

Any info on the subject would be a greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

As far As I know Naloxone is in the mix to avoid IV use. It is not absorved orally. The same with suboxone. So I dont see why are you going to suffer WDs. Dont know why they put 10mg naloxone when 2mg are enough to put you in WD if IVed.

I have heard that sniffing oxy with naloxone is not as good as sniffing normal oxy?? I know that Oxy is most effective orally but can someone confirm that by crushing the pills and taking them orally i am bypassing the ER and converting the oxy to IR? My understanding is that unless i want to IV them these are no different from normal oxy ER?
