I feel like I'm getting screwed around here! I've been taking subs to stay clean (~1.5mg/day) and I've had to acquire them off the street because the programs around here don't seem to have the same sense of urgency about getting me clean as I do.

There's an outpatient program 'Health Recovery Services' right down the street from my house. It involves going to groups every week and seeing a counselor once a month before you can get your script. I'm actually okay with the structured group therapy and the extra legwork. They accept my insurance and they're convenient, so as long as you're serious about staying clean, the program's a little involved, but not bad.

The problem is, their wait list for suboxone is 2-3 months after the consultation, and they want me in groups the week after I sign up. What do they want me to do? Go to meetings high on dope for 9 weeks while I wait for subs?!

I have another consultation a some pill-mill type place an hour away that's going to cost me $300. I can get my subs the same day, but I don't really want anything to do with this place.

I guess my question is... If I go to both consultations and tell the HRS place I'll go to meetings and wait the three months, but I'm getting a script from elsewhere in the meantime, will they still take me on? I'd like to pick one script from the pill-mill and be done with it, then switch my scripts over to HRS after there's an opening for suboxone, but I don't know what the rule on switching from place to place is generally... especially if the switch is completely preemptive.
