Switching from oxycodone to Opana/oxymorphone

I am currently on 40mg oxycontin op 2 x's a day and get 90 lortab 10's. The new oxy are not even close to old ones and I will have to ask to increase or try opana or other. What dosage would I look for in opana or anything else out there? I have great doc and could prob try whatever I ask for. I loved snorting the oxy back when that worked. I have not asked to increase and have stayed at this dosage for years and years. Any advise would be appreciated

I think you should ask your doctor what dose he thinks would be suitable as he knows your medical history and what would be best suited to your condition. Just explain to him your exact problem with the meds and how you are feeling and he will know what is best for you.

We can't tell you what to say to your doctor, but if he gives you everything you ask for...just ask him for his opinion and be honest with him. If he's been your doctor for years and years, he will probably be able to give you better advice than we could!

I'm going to close this thread since we don't discuss what to say to doctors to acquire drugs. I encourage you to be honest with your doctor.
