Switch Jumping From Sub Stripz?

Hey people, I hope this doesn't seem inappropriate, but does anyone have experiance jumping from a high dose of Suboxone? It has become way too expensive since I lost my insurance, and I have a new son and really need the extra money is spend on my sub script. I have a friend on MMT who is willing to hook me up with 3 of his take homes at 110mg a piece. I was thinking of detoxing from the bupe for 48 hours or so, than weening on to 40mg doses of Mdone, lowering each day. My habit is not a compulsive one, I have no other dope hookups and can't get regular heroin where I live, so impulsive use is not a real issue. My real problem anymore is with PV, but that is another story. Any input would be appreciated, like, would I be doing permanent damage jumping from 8mgs a day?

If you were taking 8 Mgs a day, what you just mentioned sounds about right. You said 48 hours but everyone's body chemistry is different. Would have been 72 hours for me (bupe lasted 3 days a dose sometimes). Just wait until you're starting to feel like crap, THEN try taking 20 mgs of the methadone. The very first time I went into a methadone clinic, I was on about 160 mgs of oxy + 2 bags a day. They started me off at 40 mgs and I passed out for about 3 days. Very unpleasant.
