Mind you, this is only when I sleep at night. If the blankets aren't enough to keep me warm (if I'm cold), I end up sweating, sometimes very uncomfortably. But if I'm warm, even too warm (think sweatpants, socks, two quilts), there's no sweating to speak of.

Any ideas as to why this might be? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Huh, weird. Isn't that sort of like when you're sick? I always get cold sweats when I have a fever.
How old are you/are you a woman? I ask because it can happen around menopause apparently.

Interesting! I do have rheumatoid arthritis, so I am sick in a way. I am not menopausal, I'm a 23 year old male. Then again, RA is a disease that mainly strikes menopausal women, so. Perhaps hormonally, I am close to being one?
