Cannabinoids, or their precursors, are secretions from these cells. Another major group of secreted compounds are the terpenes (monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes). Monoterpenes are the more abundant of the two. Terpenes compose the "essential oils"; they contribute to the odors of the plant, and are sticky in character, as evident when one touches the plant. Different combinations of terpenes in different strains contribute to odor differences among the strains. Cannabinoids, and THC, are odorless to most humans.

I have sometimes felt that certain strains of cannabis smell quite a bit like BO, and I am not the only person I know that smokes weed to make this observation. The funky BO smell is one I typically associate with certain good quality indicas.

When I was younger and smoking daily, my room would reek like bud and my mum would always say it stank of BO (not realising I was smoking), nowadays my brother lives in her house and smokes maybe 2 out of every 3 days, she again claims his end of the house reeks of BO not realising it is weed.

My previous post was wrong then. If humans cannot smell pure THC then it must be other chemistries from the cannabis in the sweat. Maybe terpenes?

dunno. probably that my sweat smells like weed because I smoke weed. probably it's just that they have similar smells.
infact, I noticed this similarity when some time ago I was thinking about weed and I didn't know why but thinking about weed made me think about the smell of sweat.

Sweat as candy? I like to believe it but reality is something else. Black hash has the best smell though.
