Hello everyone. I wanted some quick advice on my heroin withdrawals. I have been using approx. 10 ish months snorting never injecting bth. I'd cop about .5 every other day but I would use daily.

As of 5 days ago I was not able to get anymore heroin so my last real usage was 4 days ago.
I started to withdraw on Friday and a felt a little bit of WD coming on so I used up my reserve that I had saved in case of something like this. I got somewhat high and the next day saturday is when my withdrawals really started setting in. Pains and such but restless legs were the absolute worst. I have been scrounging anything that I can and taking dxm about 60mg to help out and it works wonders.
Sunday morning I woke up felling still not very good but the whole day I felt okay nothing too and just some restlessness her and there. Still doing tiny amount of what I could scavenge but in reality it's next to nothing.
Now today Monday I woke up with some pain but not really that bad I took some dxm in the morning and now I feel slightly off but nothing that is unbearable whatsoever.

If anyone could shed some insight, is the worst port of my WD over? I'll probably not be able to get any for some time so I will forcefully detox completely. Is it possible for my WD to be that short lived and not that bad given my ten month usage?

Anything is appreciated. I dont post often but I have been a lurker of the community for a long time now. Thank you in advance.

Probably the dxm helped considerably plus the little bits you were able to scrounge up. I'm thinking your real test will be tomorrow or when you have nothing in your system to counteract withdrawals. Hope it doesn't get too bad.

Hey Wanna.. welcome to bl:)

One bag every two days is a very reasonable habit to detox. Also detoxes seem to get progressively worse the more times we find ourselves undertaking them, just something to ponder. With all this in mind I would not be surprised if you have a very easy time of it and there is a decent possibility that you are through the hardest parts. If you find this not to be the case I still think you will be faced with an easy detox.

I hope that you take this opportunity to get and stay clean from opiates:)

Keep us updated.

I've had a few past experience with WDs and the worst it lasted only 2 days I felt great the third. Normal even. Back then I had a maybe a six month run but I expected the WDs to last much longer than only 2 days.

Thank you for your responses. I woke up feeling just fine. I didn't have to take anything to help the feeling of withdrawals because there really wasn't much of any feeling.

T. Calderone I agree with you that the small amounts that I was doing helped very much but could it have been a placebo? Because I would feel better for about 30 mins and then right back to the feeling of WDing. I found that very odd.

neversickanymore I was also maybe thinking that perhaps I shouldn't compare my experience to most others' because many times those who may have a habit often use the needle and my intranasal use isn't close to the near 100% bioavailability of IV use.

Thank for your responses and support.

Given the very low levels of use, you could well be done. The true test coes when that riding on empty hits though. Thought I was out the other end at day 13 and day 14 bit me on the arse big time.
