I'm about to have a small procedure and I am worried because I have a much higher tolarence to pain meds because of my past use. I no longer take opiate regularly. I'm not sure what to tell my doctor. For instance morphine has no effect on me. Demerol did work amazingly last time I was in the ER for migraine but I know this will not likely be an option afterwards. I estimate I would need 20mg hydro or oxycodone every 4 to 6 hrs. I'm hoping to be able to get a toradol shot once a day afterwards as it decreasing the amount of opiates needed. Does anyone have experience with this or ideas my doctor would likely go for?

I would just be honest about your opioid usage, you don't really have anything to lose. Tell them what you have been taking and how much. They could probably prescribe 10/325 mg percocet instead of hyrocodone.
