this is why soaking in epsom salt baths (2 cups epsom salts) is very good when you are detoxing from drugs.
most drugs take magnesium out of your body.
epsom salts really help us out. i have even seen it help people with bi-polar conditions and seizure dis-orders.
you can also take epsom salts orally - 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per day - if you want to get it in you super fast - but since it really soaks into your skin good - soaking in it is a better way because it by-passes the digestive process.
next time you are dope sick try soaking in a strong epsom salt bath. you will feel better for a while.

cheers mate, ill do that today.

but how exactly is it supposed to help with bi-polar and seizure disorders, unless they somehow modulate dopamine & seretonin and or agonise(sp?) gaba receptors i cannot (self-educated only) see how it would help with a bi-polar condition. seziure conditions, yes possibility, due to magnesium's muscle relaxing nature. but bi-polar i believe to be a matter of focus of the mind and/or extremely unbalanced neurotransmitter levels. ?

my mother has magnesium defienciny along with potassium and a lot of other things. its messed with her heart so bad. she almost died a week or two before christmas. spent 7 days in icu. watch out with all that stuff.. it can cause a lot of damage if it gets too low. /:

Pretty soon I'm going to get ahold of a bunch of electrolyte powders and make a mix of them and add to water like a gallon jug and fill three quarters full or so and drink that everyday.

300-350mg in pill form reduced my headaches and breast tenderness/PMS dramatically. I have been taking it for about 2 years at least 4-5 days a week (as remembered). I also eat well. I intake magnesium daily in foods such as spinach, bananas, whole grain cereals, almonds, and avocado. Ibuprofen used to be on the grocery list a lot. NO MORE!

I take magnesium once in a while when I have muscle tension/stiffness or when I'm trying to prevent jaw clenching for whatever reason. :) I should try taking it more often to see what else it does for me..

word (;)). i like to have a bottle of mineral water with me when i'm uhh, making up reasons to jaw clench. tastes better than pills, works fast and keeps the body hydrated

i take magnesium, b6, and zinc every night before bed and it gives me the most amazing sleep ever and increased my test levels by 30% within a month. (i had bloodwork done).

In what quantities of each substance? It sounds interesting.

yes but i just buy them individually since its WAY cheaper (about 15 bucks for 6 months worth). sometimes its good to not take it every other night for awhile or discontinue completely. over using it can make the effect less pronounced and can actually cause you to have trouble sleeping an entire night through (you start sleeping in 3 hour intervals but its an AMAZING 3 hours). also to note - i take melatonin with the combo.

I take 400mg magnesium, 50mg zinc, 3mg melatonin, and 10mg b6 (it also has theanine 25mg in it) 45 minutes before bed and i'm out like a light.

Supplements for (WO)men

Just wondering here.

Alot of the time the products in the womans and mens section are swapped around depending on where you shop.

Consider "testofen" which sounds incredibly masculine.

I just wonder to what extent most of these things are completely interchangeable irrespective of your gender.

On the other hand something like hormone replacement therapy is a different kettle of fish.

I just meant with OTC types of products in general that do no require a prescription.

Supplementing with BCAA

I have started supplementing with BCAA (Branched Chained Amino Acids). I take two capsules containing 800mg L-Valine, 800mg L-Leucine & 400mg L-Isoleucine just before I start my workout and then two capsules about 30mins after my workout. I do not take any on my off days. Does anybody know if this is the most effective way I should be supplementing these BCAA? Would it be beneficial to take some on my non-training days?
