I'm looking for a good website that lists job positions directed towards college students. I'm trying to find a full or part time job for the summer just to pay for rent. I found CollegeHelpers.com which seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, but it turns out they don't have shit for job listings. Anybody know something I don't?

I'd scour craigslist if I were you (I'm currently doing the same, hoping to find a tutoring or teaching gig.. in the same boat as you, going to need to pay for food and rent and neither I nor my girlfriend have a job for the summer yet...).. a good amount of stuff on there is open to college-level applicants. Check out the 'gigs' section too, as you can find random stuff available immediately (like doing yard work for someone, helping someone move, etc). How useful it is depends to a large degree in how busy/populous an area you live in, but if you live in or near a big city there's a good chance you'll find something..

In college join study groups and such...

Work on your networking skills...lots of jobs around schools... They hire kids that go to school but its like "gotta know the right people"... Those people are in study clubs or a school Accusatory or whatever they have

Craigslist has improved considerably over the years, well at least with respect to job recruitment. As long as you're not looking to do porn or something, the ads that are not legit are quite easy to point out. My sister's in grad school right now and the past 3 or 4 jobs she's had were ones that she found on craigslist. It's a good source especially if you're looking to do tutoring work in your area of study.

It might be past deadlines by now for '10, but paid summer internships are also a good way to make money. Granted you won't make a killing, but you can put that on your resume/CV/applications and often they'll pay for lodging, food, etc.
