I know there isn't a way to tell for sure what it is unless send it in for testing but any general ideas of what could produce such an odor?

We don't allow speculative cut/drug ID threads like this, man. You should know that having been a member so long. It's all in the guidelines. There is no point in guessing what is causing your drugs to smell a certain way...
