Sugar Cravings

Unless you guys have some sort of different Chai drink over yonder? The only Chai I've seen here is basically as bad as hot chocolate - tonnes of sugar with some spices and nice labelling to make it seem innocent.

What you're describing might be Chai Latte, or Chai with milk and sugar.

As effingcustie said, Chai is just an Indian style of tea, often spiced. I do enjoy it more with milk though (it's the only tea that I have with milk).

Ah yeah, I was thinking of Chai Latté - bullshit.

Just ate a carrot, orange, oople and deck of playing cards.

^ That sounds good. I hear the black suits are better for you than the red ones. Go easy on the diamonds!

almost all food cravings are the result of improperly balanced diet. the mind interprets messages from the stomach and bowels a bit awkwardly, but craving carbohydrates is usually the result of a mineral and vitamin deficiency. this does not imply eat pharmaceutical vitamins, it does imply eat more raw vegetables.

this reeks of bullshit.

I started buying dried mango slices at the local fruit stand. They are way too good to be healthy but eat them constantly.

zomg i love those. dont think they're that good for you either cuz they're coated in sugar. A few slices doesn't HURT, right?!?! but fresh mangoes are the bomb diggity!

I tried making my own dehydrated/dried fruit one time with a food dehydrator. the consensus is that you need sugar on dried fruit or it just tastes like nothing and gets brown.. unless I'm just doing it wrong.

ha, i know right? fruit is so full of water, and its so nourishing and hydrating. also, i feel like the volume of fresh fruit vs. dried fruit makes you feel fuller. i definitely prefer fresh. I do love raisins, craisins, and dried apricots and mangoes very much though.

So I just wanted to add that this stuff isnt necessarily SWEET, but it somehow gets rid of my sweet craving.

It doesn't contain any sugar or artificial sweeteners, it just has a light flavor and the carbonation somehow quells my sweet cravings.

I've noticed that coconut water (pure, no additives) also really satisfies my sweet tooth. As far as I know, it does contain a bit of natural carbohydrates, but not enough to account for its really sweet and "rich" flavor.
