I have chronic pancreatitis.
As some know who may have seen any of my posts that im an currently on fentanyl 50ug/h
I recently had a celiac plexus block done. Its a surgical procedure (enjoyed that propafol Heheheh) anyway, what they do is that they inject cortisone, alcohol and local anaesthetic into your celiac plexus. Its a bundle of nerves, behind your (pan-cree-ASS) They do it through your back/ribs. Its for intractable pain "management"
It seems to have worked. Sofar..
My pain is much better and I was thinking on going onto subutex, cause no pain: no need for such strong opioid agonists right? ;-) well maybe sometimes... Giggling;-)
The doctors say that the procedure's efficacy can last 6wks upto 6 mnths. Which they then repeat.
Im not interrested going rollercoaster or play Russian roulette with too many schedule6 opioids, meaning one then another ect.. but im really curious as to if I do go off the fentanyl, go on subutex but the pain comes back, and lets say they can only help me with another procedure in say 2 weeks. What then?? I couldn't go straight back to fentanyl 50's cause of subs I'll lose fentanyl tollerance right? Or am I wrong?
So the biggest most important question is what can you take ontop/with subutex for pain?
Seeing as its an antagonist and has ceiling effect apparently at 32mg.
If I go that route of subutex and have breakthrough pain, what do I do then?
Please don't mention methadone as an alternative to subs cause I will never ever touch that stuff again!! I turkeyd 8days then had seizures, its been couple months and still have paws really bad..
Thanks guys/gals for this great and awesome place to be so liberal bout drugs and other stuff in general. Keep up the great work!! s85..
