Hey guys, just wondering what the legal status of bupe in european countries? Can you buy it over the counter? Im talking about subutex, not suboxone. Also what is the legal status of benzos as well as far as getting them OTC. Thanks

If you Google you will find that info on WIKI.

Europe is Huge & each country is different . In the Uk you would never get benzos OTC but in maybe Espana y Portuguese you may get lucky .

Seriously it's all on Wiki .

Speaking for the UK and France you can't get subs nor benzos OTC...wouldn't know about other countries but I kinda doubt it.

^Wiki is indeed your friend.

You would be surprised ;)

Like i said in Portugal i would go to this indy. Chemist run by this old Guy & he would let me have 240 10mg diaz & 28 Actual real Temazepam eggs or Normison every week .

True. I do know about that and I may even have been known to use it to my advantage once or twice, believe it or not 8)

Although I still think the main selling point is the pure codeine OTC.

Subutex is class a without prescription in most European countries, Benzo's are very hard to get prescribed in the uk

Subs OTC? Let me guess, you've never ventured outside the US and imagine Europe to be a less developed and far more hedonistic version of the US? Boy are you in for a surprise...
Subutex OTC... Ffffsss

Americans have such a warped idea of Europe it's not even funny. I mean you know better than me that where we're both from there's no chance on earth you'd be prescribed amphetamines as a wee lad with no motivation in high school, over there they get Adderall and dexies with no effort, it would unthinkable in most of the EU. Same thing for pain management, they get Oxycontin for back pains, over here they give NSAIDs to cancer patients who have a few months to live.

Actually I've been to europe loads of times, many different countries. I was with my parents every time so I wasn't using. So I do know what europe is like. I know for a fact benzos are otc in russia and I think the temgesic (bupe) or whatever is pretty easy to get in some countries

Have been told they regularly complain in other subforums about 'only' getting oxys after getting teeth extracted and whatnot. Only time I've ever been prescribed a strong opiate in Europe was because I'd practically broken my neck. Do they even ever prescribe codeine for broken bones?
I dunno whether to feel insanely jealous or vaguely amused right now.

If you're used to the manner in which meds are scripted in the US then you aint going to be having fun looking for recreational pharms in Europe, end of story.

Yeah, this is mental and just plain unnecessary, you don't need any pain killers whatsoever after an extraction unless you have an infection.

You don't need em but can't say I'd be too bothered if I got them :D
Maybe call it compensation for their outrageously expensive health care.

Doesn't cost any more than in this country really if you're on a decent wage here, and less if you're on a high wage here in fact.

Kidding? No, take it from someone who's lived in France, the UK, and spent an accumulated couple of years in the US, healthcare literally ruins you over there. Prices are absolutely ridiculous.

Well, health insurance is not related to how much you earn in America, whereas your NI contributions here are calculated as a percentage of your earnings here so it's logical that if you're on a high wage then your contribution is going to be disproportionately large.

If you earn £41444pa, then you are paying £4043 in insurance every year. If you earn £100 000 then you are paying £5214 every year.

Obviously if you don't have insurance over there then you're fucked but that's a different issue.

Sure, but even if you do have insurance over there the coverage is practically non-existent. I'll admit I have a bit of a biased view since I've always had to pay for health care full price over there cuz they won't accept my french insurance, but even so, just the fact that if you're unlucky enough to get cancer you'll also end up (or leave your family) in tremendous, practically unpayable debt (and I'm talking with insurance) is a bit of an alarm bell.

Evidence? What cancer treatments can't you get cover for over there?

Given that 30% of people get cancer in their lifetime I find this statement pretty hard to believe. Not trying to start an argument, genuinely interested.
