I've been on bupe for 1,5 years now, staying on the same dose 2mg. I wanted to increase for some time, but realized if I want my drivers license back before summer I need to be stabilized on a dose for some time and increasing dose would mean another six months of urine test before getting the license back.

But, I've had chronic headache for about six months. And I cant keep taking paracetamol every day for the rest of my life either... (Is that hypocritical? I mean, yes to heroin but no to paracetamol?) I'm confident the main factor is stress. Things are bad, real bad. Right now my life is more than over and bupe is the only reason I stay alive. However, I imagine the bupe is contributing to the headaches.

Is there any solution to this? As I said, same dose so I'm stabilized. I guess at least. I have tinkered with time of day of ingestion, dividing the dose first in half and now in 4 tiny portions throughout the day. Could that be it?

Damned if I do, damned if I don't?

It could be stress related, dehydration, improper diet, etc. It could even be directly from the bupe. Nobody here is going to be able to tell you for sure. Have you tried lowering your bupe dose and seeing if you still get a headache?

Ok, so I've started taking the sub as per instructions, i.e. under the tongue. I've always snorted it, always. I was always afraid taking it sublingual would lessen the effects. I think it does, a bit, but for some reason, taking it under the tongue makes it stronger now than snorting. Maybe my nasal cavities are effed up?
Anyway. Taking it the proper way seems to aid the headache, a bit, and makes it come stronger for a longer while. Not _as_ strong as 'back in the day', but enough to give me a boost, make me feel a little high again. If it aids the headache I wont be able to tell until a few days has passed, and maybe it's just a psychological aspect of a new ritual. But we'll see.

I know certain (maybe all?) Opiates/opioids can increase cranial pressure causing headaches. Bupe would give me headaches occasionally when I was on sub maintenance. Like mild migraine headaches.
