Today I experienced an unpleasant bout with Precipitated withdrawals.. and it has basically thrown ALL of my knowledge regarding suboxone/dosing after using heroin. I relapsed and did 3 WEAK bindles yesterday... the last one at around 830pm. In the past... when I had been on a good 6-8 month Tar binge I could take suboxone within 18-20 hours after my last shot, and IMO Tar blows this tan powder bullshit out of the pond(I moved from NC(Tar) to WI(Tan Shit) So, today.. I did 3mg of suboxone IV at around 19 hours.. and boy was it god awful. It didn't last very long, I just ran to the shower and blasted hot water and just sat there hoping it would go away and by the time I decided to get out of the shower I felt relatively normal.

IDEAS ANYONE? I know that I've read multiple posts on here about how the Naloxone doesn't do anything, but could that be the case in this instance? I mean maybe I just did it too early but I definitely felt early stages of Withdrawal. I love Suboxone, but its times like these when I'm just fucking TERRIFIED to do use it again. Any insight experts?

I've had this happen with ecp once or twice, at around 18 hours. I think tar has a shorter half life. in the future you should not i.v. your first shot, take i sublingually and don't go above 1mg for the first dose, that way if it's too soon you won't go into w/d that bad or for too long.

Was your experience with the strips always or the pills before? The strips in my opinion are different from the pills. The strips are stronger or absorbed better than the pills. They send you into withdrawals longer after your last dose than the pills used to. No idea why. Bioavailibilty or strictly a formula ingredient issue. I used to be able to do pills within a day of using. I wouldnt try that with the strips. It also may be a tolerance issue and depend on when he last time you were actually on subs for a period of time.

it was the pills, never tried the strips, but if you're i.v.ing technically it shouldn't matter. well technically it shouldn't matter regardless of roa, but as we all know sometimes things are different in practice than in theory. perhaps when you dissolve a strip you get more bupe in the solution, or dissolving the pills results in more naloxone. either way, always start sublingual, and start small.

Please don't IV suboxone. The whole point is to slowly move away from the junkie lifestyle, IV use included. Try another ROA like rectal or something.

I think this is the key to suib induction. The only time I've ever gotten noticeable precipitated withdrawals was when I IVed my first suboxone dose. If you do a small dose sublingually, even if it does give you p.w/d, it's hardly noticeable since the bupe is absorbed slower and by the time it's all in your sstem you're starting to feel better. I've induced way too early via the sublingual route (like going on a vacation after a binge and not wanting to be sick in the car) and if I do small doses sublingually I feel worse for 30min or so but then I feel fine, and titrate up to where I'm comfortable. Basically fool proof. Just take a small (0.5-2mg) dose sublingually as your first dose after full agonists and you'll be fine.

Not only did you take it too early but you IV'ed it and got a very high dose of it. Double whammy of fucked.

Wait until you are moderately dope sick. Amount of hours alone is not a reliable enough factor.
