I used to be addicted to dope about two years ago and I went to rehab, got off everything and felt good but my head still wasn't in the right place so I started on suboxone and have been doing subs for 2 years. I replaced one addiction for another which I wish I would have seen then! I just want to kick the shit and be sober off subs now too but the withdrawal is way to long and painful for me to quit cold turkey. I only take 1 a day and if I miss a dose I already feel like shit. So what's the best wAy to survive withdrawal? I'm very very open with taking any medications except painkillers to get through it. I've tried concerta and addies but that's too much of a comdown to deal with! HELP PLEASE!

You need to PM neversickanymore for his opiate withdrawal information. I've just completed (i.e. I still feel a little rough but am basically ok) a detox from 24mg cut off dead, I used a combination of the following.

Dihydrocodeine (I basically blew all of what I had in one shot of blissful release and then had a few titbits to take the edge off on a couple of days)
Diazepam
Etizolam
Zopiclone
Zolpidem
Pregabalin
Lofexidine
Promethazine
Quitiapine
Buscopan
Melatonin
Cannabis
Cannabis Oil
Loperamide
Paracetamol

In other words I was armed to the gills, there are a few core substances in there that make a huge difference though. PM if you want any more info about any of them or what I found helped the most.

Meds are only half the picture though, having somewhere clean and pleasant, preferably with someone to look after you matters almost as much.

Never understood a 'rehab' that takes patients in and just sends them away on another opiate, what is actually being achieved there that can't be achieved in one visit to a pharmacy?
