Suboxone strip IV question

This probably belongs in OD but for some reason my phone won't let me post threads there.

So anyways, I am on suboxone strips and my main ROA is IV. I am down to one last strip, and I would usually IV it like all the others, except that my last strip had fallen out of the package and had been sitting in some fake weed for about 48hrs. It wasn't a whole bunch if fake weed, there was just a few sprinkles on top of and under it.

So my question is, could the synthetic cannabinoids be absorbed into the strip? I don't want to shoot it/eat it/snort it and then start tripping unexpectedly. I also don't want any plant matter in my circulatory system. I have taken the strip out of the fake weed and brushed it off as best I could, and it looks brand new, but looks can be deceiving. Any thoughts?
 
I don't think that the strip would be able to absorb the chemical in your spice, as the spice chemical isn't wet... it's absorbed into the spice. I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Thanks for the reply. I absolutely hate synthetic cannabinoids because of the profound anxiety they induce in me. I would probably have a mental breakdown if I started tripping instantly without having made a conscious decision to get high on them.
 
I agree with ThirdEyePsi. I wouldn't worry about it as a similiar situation happened to me only yesterday. IV is also my preffered ROA. I wiped it (the sub) off best I could as if straight outa the package. And went through my ritual with no problems.
 
Definitely don't think it'd be an issue. The moisture level of the fake bud is most likely higher than that of the strip, so if anything, your sub might not be exactly as strong as usual (though I'd HIGHLY doubt you'd be able to realize.) I'd just relax about it if I were you. It sounds like you took all of the necessary precautions by brushing it off carefully; maybe just filter it twice if you're concerned about the plant matter content?
 
I don't know much about synthetic cannabinoids, and while it's likely that it isn't an issue, I would definitely plug it instead. Also, do you know what type of fake weed it is (like, did you order a single specific cannabinoid or did you buy some random mixture from a headshop?) if you knew exactly what chemicals were used you could likely find out whether they were water soluble which could probably give you an idea as to whether you might start tripping out or not. Also, I know you likely aren't using one now and probably cannot wait to get them before taking the suboxone, but order some .22 um micron filters. They're relly great when your injecting pills or strips as they'll produce a solution that's as close to pharmaceutical grade injectable a as you will get. The .22 I'm sized filters will also not let bacteria through which would be very useful in a case like this when you're concerned about plant matter.

As for your immediate situation, you should really try plugging it if you won't take it sublingually. If you're the type of person that's not comfortable with such actions (as I once was), just think-is it really any more a violation of your body than piercing a needle through your flesh and bypassing all of your bodies natural defenses? Forgive me if you have nothing against plugging- or if I sound too invested in it lol, I just always plug something if I find it too questionable in terms of it's safety to inject.
