Suboxone questions

I've been on suboxone for years and i don't have anyone to ask questions or talk about my side effects to. I know its been causing me teeth decay. I also have ridiculous sugar cravings and I developed carpal tunnel at the age of 24 after being on it for awhile. I was wondering if it could cause nerve damage. I also just found out I have hypothyroidism and I don't know if its related to suboxone. Can everyone give me their side effects so i can know if mine are normal? And are the sugar cravings normal?

Suboxone, I am almost positive, cannot cause nerve damage, nor hyper-thyroidism. The sugar cravings baffle me as well. Do you have a history of Alchohol abuse? A lot of Alchoholics are known to have a sweet tooth (alchohol is made from sugars after all).

Here's a list of the common Adverse Effects caused by Suboxone from rxlist:

The most common adverse event ( > 1% ) associated with the sublingual administration of the SUBOXONE sublingual film was oral hypoesthesia. Other adverse events were constipation, glossodynia, oral mucosal erythema, vomiting, intoxication, disturbance in attention, palpitations, insomnia, withdrawal syndrome, hyperhidrosis, and blurred vision.

Whether its caused by suboxone or not, I would go seek medical attention ASAP.

Okay. I'm assuming because each one of you posted something about rules that I did something wrong. Am I not supposed to post questions?

I think its the naloxone that causes almost all the side effects that are not typically the result of using opioids. BTW, sugar cravings are the result of opioids, H gave me crazy cravings for sweets and Subs do it, too. I am not really sure if you are saying its the sugar cravings or the sublingual ROA that is causing the tooth decay. I have to ask do you spit or swallow after using the Subs in the sublingual method? I honestly get head aches, that seem caused by neck tension, when I swallow. But it also keeps me from being constipated so I swallow it once and a while. A lot of people claim they feel much better if they spit it out after SL for 15 minutes or so, but there also those who will throw a bunch of bio-chemistry related stuff at you about why it doesn't make a difference. IDK, I beg do differ that it does make a difference.
