Hey,

So my girlfriend and I have been on again off again heroin addicts for about 2.5 years now. We only smoke what we get and have never mainlined. Currently we are using around .3-.5 a day and really want to be done with it again. In the past we have used Subs to get through the WDs and have been able to stay strong for anywhere from 1 month to 3 months. We're ready to try for good again. The WDs are the biggest fear factor we're facing at this point. We have too many reasons to stop. But getting to my question. All the Subs Ive gotten in the past have been obtained on the street. Unfortunately I seem unable to find any this time. Im thinking about going to a doctor to try and get a prescription since my research indicates that it is fairly easy to find a doctor willing to help. In the past my girlfriend and I have split a single 8mg/2mg strip, and we dole it out, and rapid detox from it. We start with 2mg the first day, 1 mg the second day, .5 the third, .25 the fourth and after that we're pretty much set. Any further discomforts we have found to be manageable. So I am wondering if I should share this information with the doctor because 1) I dont want to pay for more than I need 2) I dont want to be on it for longer than I have to. Also I am currently living on my own but my health insurance is through my parents who dont know about my predicament. I understand that it is going to be expensive without it and Im willing to pay whatever it takes but Im wondering what the risks of them finding out the truth about my visit are if I were to use my insurance (this might not be the place to ask this but any insight you guys might have will be extremely valuable). Do you think the doctor will be less likely to prescribe me something if they know I have used it in the past? Also will they take my previous experiences with it into consideration or will they want to put me on a program? As the doctor appointments are often the most expensive part I dont want to pay an arm and a leg only to be prescribed nothing and be out a hefty sum of money. Thank you guys for the insight and I hope I posted this to the right sub forum. If not please redirect me to the proper one and I will move my thread there. Thanks again.
