For the past 21 months ive been taking 12-16mg of suboxone everyday. for 2 years before that i injected opiate pills and heroin. last month i got bored and decided to get a script of 30mg "Roxy" immediate release oxycodone from my local dirty doctor. he will give me thirty 30s every 2 weeks. i can get my next script from him in 6 days ( cant wait, hehe ).
th day before yesterday i had to wait the normal 24 hour period to get back on my sub after injecting my thirty 30s over about 6 days. it was fucking horrible. maybe it was just mild, and i forgot how bad WDs suck after all this time on sub, maybe it was all the time on bupe rather than just coming off of 6 days of oxy, and that i had neither the last traces of the long acting bupe or the short acting oxy in my system. by hour 12 i was feeling shitty, by hour 17 i was ready to pull my hair out, by hour 20 i was fucking climbing the walls, and at hour 23 i broke down and took 8mgs over the course of the next hour and felt incredible, soothing relief. no high mind you, just a wonderful absence of dope sickness.
Ive left out an important detail. i had the oxy script for 11 days before i did it. during this time, in order to rid myself of any built up blockade effect and tolerance coming from nearly 2 years on bupe, i began drastically weening from the subs to get the fullest high i could from the oxy. in 11 days id normally take about 150mg, but during my ween i took exactly 50.75mg, cutting my daily dose by over 65 percent. ANd i still had this hellish 24 hour waiting period after my days of oxy fun.
My question is, since i have 6 days left til my next script during which ill be on sub, considering weening from 12-16mg a day to 4mg a day was done for the 11 days before the oxy fun fest with almost no negative feelings felt, and that now on day 3 back on sub 4mg a day seems to be getting me good perfectly, what would be a good schedule for weening to minimize discomfort during the 24 hour period of waiting to get back on bupe after my next oxy fun fest weekend? i was thinking maybe get down to like 1-2mg a day for the last 2-3 days before my oxy fun? will this dose cut be harder than the seemingly effortless drop that i took from 12-16mg to 3-4mg with mysteriously no withdrawal or even cravings or slight discomfort?
I am convinced that the factor that was more significant in the hellishness of the 24 hours i had to wait to get back on sub was more due to the fact that i had been 6 days off bupe, rather than 24 hours off oxy, this is because when i first got on sub i waited 36 hours coming off just oxy before i found a walk in sub clinic, and the withdrawal was no where near as bad as hour 18 of this last wait when withdrawal from the bupe itself my have been a factor. my hypothesis is that it was so bad this time because i had been off bupe 6 days, so even with its long half life it was all gone from my body, and when at hour 12 the last vestiges of the short acting oxy left me, i went into full blown withdrawals.
It also seems kinda funny ( but fortunate,) that while weening from bupe seems to be easy as cake ( maybe because of the ceiling effect, and larger dose not really having any more affect on your system?), the complete absence of bupe, as in when the last backlogs of it leave your barin 5-6 days after your last dose, is a hellishly different story
