Hey everyone I had a pretty good oxy habit for a few years but I could always dose late night then wake up at 7am and take a sub. Never had to wait 24 hours. Well then I upgraded I guess u could say, unfortunately to dope then iv. Well I was in a really bad place then and now I finally got my life back but I'm still addicted to dope and for some reason no matter how long I wait (36 hours) then I take a sub and I just get sicker. Is my habit to high or what? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on how long/severity of the addiction/usage daily factor into the space I between usage, suboxone isn't meant to help in between sickness but kick cravings and stop altogether. I must admit I'm guilty of misusing it. I usually wait 24 hours or more following IV injection or else it magnifies my withdrawal a hundred fold. That's just myself, body chemistry varies from person to person. That being said I hope you can kick this addiction because it seems like it's a concern of yours. I wish you luck it takes something special to summon the strength.

Thanks for responding. I have been looking into possibly trying a 5-7 day methadone taper detox instead. I know wds are way worse from methadone but I don't think I would get addicted in only 7 days.. any opinions?

Methadone is government prescribed heroin. Difference being its either monitored by the clinic or attend to receive it or you're expected to take them appropriately when they hand you a prescription. Suboxone has a cap on how high you can get making it hard to abuse while methadone does not. I'd opt for the former either go with suboxone or be monitored on methadone. I hear it's excellent in curbing cravings and docs or whomever wean you off little by little. It isn't a perfect cure but I hardly think there is one. I believe methadone programs last longer than a week. I'm not sure myself. Also my pleasure I hope I can offer what little insight I have.

That's the one good thing for me. I don't get high anymore anyways. Haven't for a while.. it's just to maintain and not be sick. So I won't abuse the methadone. Since I don't expect a High anyway. I'm just looking to not be sick..
