my friend gave me these suboxone sublingual films. they are 8mg buprenorphine and 2mg nalaxone. ***Im planning on doing these tonight so please people i need your information asap!

I have a mild tolerance to opiates and took about 30mg the other night to get high. I know this a drug for addicts but ive done my research and found that it can be completely recreational if you arent an addict. My questions are:

will it actually give me a opiate-like high?
how long to kick in and how long do the effects last?
how much should i take (some people said 1mg can knock people down with low tolerance which seems weird to me)

my only option is to cut up the film into bits but i dont want to take too much on accident so i would like to hear your responses. thanks :]

nobody has any info?? dont want to kill myself but want to have fun haha some of you have to have some information.

I'm pretty sure with some searching you'll find a lot of info. Personally this isn't a drug I use. And in general, Bluelight being a harm-reduction website and all, you don't get too many answers to the "how best to get high tonight" questions. But, like I said, the info is out there.

Have a good, safe night.

Opiates are a class of drug harvested from the opium poppy and saying you took 30mg says nothing about your tolerance if you don't specify what chemical you consumed.

I'm going to move this over to BDD (Basic Drug Dicussion) for you as it is the best forum to deal with dosing questions. The Opioid Conversion thread found linked in the BDD Threads of Note (linked in my signature) will likely answer your main question and the wikipedia article on Buprenorphine will answer the rest. Please note that is indeed an extremely potent opioid and without a large tolerance 8mg is a ridiculously large amount.

Yea sorry I was in a hurry when posting this. it was 30mg of oxycodone instant release (a roxy) and i posted this as harm reduction since i am taking this tonight and need a bit more info. trust me its not too easy to find many first time suboxone experiences for non-addicts. i did enough research to find that it is potent like you said thats why im being careful and asking bluelight. thanks for your help ill check out BDD! -donut

According to this you should try between 1 and 2mg your first time if you are used to 30mg oral oxycodone. I would err on the lower side to avoid potential sickness.

Buprenorphine is not as much of a 'recreational' opiate as e.g. oxycodone.

for people with no tolerance buprenoprhine is just a recreational any other opiate imo;;

i actually know alot of people who actually perfer bupe over other opiates crazy i know..

i would take no more than 1 or 2mgs

^ although I haven't used buprenorphine myself, this is what I've heard as well and what I would expect. Until you reach the ceiling to the agonist effects which is between 2-4mg, it functions essentially the same as any other agonist. The effects will vary somewhat from other opioids but much the same way the hydrocodone effects differ from fentanyl's.

I'm not sure why you'd think people getting knocked down from 1mg without a tolerance would be weird - when buprenorphine is used to treat pain, they start at .2mg. The 2mg and 8mg doses are designed for addicts with large tolerances.

I think I might try getting a drug with more potential for abuse. Bupe is a trashy opiate high, WHEN you can get a "high" off of it. It always seemed like bad juju to me taking sub's for a buzz. Given all the people that are chained to these meds. It's no fun when you have to wake up every day and take one of those stupid pills every morning. Like I said, bad juju. I would trade them or something, anything that isn't trying to catch a buzz off suboxone.

^ are you shitting me?

It's bad juju to go from spending every waking second either sick, trying to score, preparing or using heroin or pills to being able to simply take a pill once a day and be able to function and move on in your life? Maybe it's just my experience, but I've yet to meet the person whose life is worse since getting on suboxone maintenance than when they were shooting heroin.

I ended up starting with .5mg at around 7pm to test it out. had another .5mg at 9 and another around 1.

total of 1.5mg. This is definitely a recreational drug and im glad i didnt take the whole thing. its got a great euphoric feeling and i was talking to people all night. im definitely impressed by it and wonder why its hardly talked about recreationally. i would actually prefer this to roxys sometimes because of how long it lasts. thanks for the info and it was a good experience and i know where to start next time i try :] really though this drug needs more credit... its amazing to help all the people going through withdrawels im just lucky enough to not be addicted.

The only bad thing about subs for me is that when I do em.I dont get hi I just get to the next day.And then it take 5 or 6 blues to get the job done for the next day or two.Cause it blocks opiates. That can get expensive for those few days.
