UUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!! Withdrawal from opioid pain pills is a bitch. However, I would trade that extended shitty feeling for the quick, dying feeling of taking suboxone/naltrexone too early. I gave myself precipitated withdrawals by taking suboxone too early.
I suppose I didn't anticipate that it'd take a good while to get rid of the oxy and hydrocodone I had taken daily for 7 months straight at unreasonable/impracticle doses. So without this concept firm in my mind's grasp, I went into a short hell. A headache (the worst I've had since I was like 5 years old), nausea and finally vomiting made up a pair of my lowest two days ever.
I started feeling sick earlier Saturday morning after waking up. Depressed already, I thought I'd go for a hike first and see how deep I was. As I was walking my joints seemed excessively sore, my nose ran, the depression deepened. I was convincing myself it was time to use suboxone.
I went home and let half of a pill dissolve under my tongue and that was it. As the hours passed, I felt increasingly fluish and sick. After about 6 or 7 hours, my sweating and nausea were so uncontrollable I had to leave my mate's house and head home for bed/puke-bucket. I threw up that night probably ten times, each time more painful than the last. The headache never relented and I might have gotten about 2 hours of sleep.
Yesterday I woke up with the same headache and sweat, but no nausea. "Could I have gone into precipitated withdrawals?" Uhhh, yea ya did. Luckily, I hear this condition shortens your overall withdrawal as it helps clean your system out more rapidly. I sure fuckin hope so.
Anyway, after two days of basically not being able to function, I had to write about it. And today is day 3 sober from shit and I've already turned down a dealer with some roxy 15's. I don't feel terrible but that may be in comparison to how terrible life seemed only a half-day prior.
So don't take your suboxone too early.
