suboxone & arm numbness

Sitting at the bus stop an this guy sits next to me an proceeds with... I I/Ved half a suboxone film @ the bend of my left arm. Instantly felt a numbing/tingle from injection site to finger tips, didn't think to much of it, started on second half... Numbness would not subside. So I set the finished shot aside to wait an see. By now it felt like a million spiders crawling in my forearm and hand. Shot site did not hurt what so ever going in or after plunged. My heart started to slow, I'm freaking out now.. did a bpm 48, told my girl to not leave my side. This is all within aprrox. 5 mins. Got on BL... No info nore anywhere else. Bpm came up to high 50s. Thought id wait it out with 911 on speed dial. Started Watching tv with the wierdest feeling like death was right behind me, I thought there goes my arm for sure. So to make it short for the next 48 hours or so I had theses horrible feelings of a lost limb and death. Still no pain, no discoloration, no swelling, everything looked fine but was not feeling fine.. what so ever. NO sleep for 2 night, mostly cause I didn't think I would wake up, when I closed my eyes I had trippy ass visuals like I ate some shrooms so I stopped with that. I followed my girl around the house with the phone an laptop... Looking on threads, called some hotline for none emergencies she said "hang up with me and call 911 immediately, and then take an aspirin" ( incase of a heart attack I assumed). Then called my local friendly cvs pharmacist told her my shpeel and she was more concerned with p/w.. which by the way the only w/d symptom I had was a runny nose.. after a huge heroin bender 3gs a day between me an my girl for 8 days straight was almost even weirder than my other problem going on. Slammed my shot at 7am Sunday by Tuesday noonish was feeling fine. So all in all don't shoot subs its not cool no rush, no fun. I don't know WTF my trip was never heard of ANYTHING like it. Then I saw my bus got on.. didn't catch his name either. Any thoughts? Peace..

^ Just say it's you. We don't use "SWIM" or "a friend of a friend" or "someone I overheard at the bus stop" nonsense. We also don't allow emergency threads but seeing as it's been a few days since the incident I will allow for it to stay open so we can discuss the complications you experienced.

I think that you had a panic attack after hitting a nerve when IVing the suboxone. Suboxone is known to cause anxiety in a lot of people, especially in high doses (IVing 4mg is a high dose btw). You should never IV suboxone without a micron filter, and you shouldn't be IVing doses that high. Furthermore you should never IV it when taking your first dose of it after another opiate/opioid.

I'll move this to the "Other Drugs" forum where it will probably get merged in with the IV complications thread after a few days.
