Bupe Suboxone and yielding a clear liquid... anyone tried this?

As an ex IV user I am left with no veins. I am sure I could find one but I would like to let them heal so, I have been injecting 2-4 mg/ day intramuscularly of suboxone.
First off I would like to note the few times I did IV subs there was a strange rush...I cant explain it and I didn't really enjoy it compared with full agonists. Suboxone is so expensive here in the great white north, basically I want to get the most out of pills.
There is no rush when IM suboxone, a definite slow and subtle warmth is there for sure.

I wonder if anyone else has experience with long term consequences of IMing suboxone?

So far no problems, I do know how extremely dangerous it is and suffered numerous abscesses from past IV pill use.
I use gravity to get most of the fillers out of my solution.

See Below

Add 1 ml of water to each .5 mg of sub; let sit for five minutes; stir well and filter once; squirt the contents of the first filter back into cooker, cover and let stand for at least 2 hours better yet overnight. Patience and or prior preparation is key.
I have found that no matter how many times I filter subs the result shows a milky opaque liquid. However, by letting it sit the left over fillers to sink quietly out of the solution and stay out. A final filter yields a clear liquid. No pain at injection site, or bruising. Still how dangerous is this? Any expert opinions out there?
Cheers

What are you using as a filter?

If you're not using a 0.2 micron filter, it is not sterile and hence unsafe for injection. letting solutions sit out will also provide opportunities for bacterial growth.

Thanks Sekio,
these are precisely the questions I am looking to get answered.
I get my filters from the needle exchange they say sterile but they are just those little cotton balls not the cylindrical ones that fit on a tip. As for letting solutions sit... What about letting it sit in the fridge? Is two hours enough for the multiplication of bacteria? I think I know the answer to that...
More reasons for me to stop. That is what I am looking for.

If I were you I would def get the sub films (they have a $0 copay coupon right now on their website). They have a very small amount of binders and fillers. Every time I made a shot from those they ended up clear with a very slight orange tint. And that was just letting it dissolve in 70 units of water for 30 seconds, using the plunger to make sure it was all dissolved, and filtering it through a cotton.

I only did this for a week bc I realized how dumb iv'ing subs were

Why would you do I.M. suboxone? I get the needle fixation, I'm in the same spot (but still have fat veins in my arms) but I.M. suboxone does not sound healthy or even worth it. the dangers are mainly from bacteria. it's clear that your procedure with these pills isn't sterile. the same reason why you've gotten abscesses in the past would be the reason not to do this. plus you say there's no rush, why are you doing it? doing it a couple times probably wont kill yo but the problem is you need suboxone every day, so this could turn into a regular thing, and one bad strain of bacteria making it's way into your muscle tissue could cause a serious infection.

maybe go to the store get some sterile saline, stick a sub under your tongue and inject the saline, you'll get the same effect.

When a drug is IM and not sterile, bacteria grows and abscesses form. The body forms a cyst around the bacteria, abscess, and the bacteria that doesn't require that much oxygen will thrive. Then you also have the fillers in the abscess.

It's not wise to do this.

Anything you can take orally you can use rectally. This would be a much safer route than IMing the drug.

Yeah using drugs through intramuscular injection is risky business especially without a .22 micron filter. You have been around a while, so I'm sure you are aware of these dangers, and that if you did have the veins to use, you would inject intravenously instead.

Like Coraline said, I would try rectally administering the Suboxone instead. I used to shoot subs, and stopped when I realized that plugging them had every advantage (aside from the 100% BA) of IV buprenorphine (the same onset, and clean euphoria), but it lasted way longer (much like sublingual).

When you do muscle shots with poorly filters pharaceticals you're definately risking an abscess which I'm sure you don't want. IMO, IM is a pretty crumby ROA and I never understood the appeal (unless it provided the second highest BA and a longer duration than IV). With plugging you still get to prep the drug like you would were you to shoot it intravenously, only you squirt it up your ass. It hits you real fast (especially with buprenorphine, it's just as fast as IV-though eve IV doesn't provide an instant onset) and lasts a long time.

So please invest in some micron filters if you're going to insist on using suboxone intramuscularly. Otherwise, please give recal administration a shot (or a squirt!) if you havn't already.

I have tried plugging my bupe but no pun intended doing it everyday was causing some issues with my rectal cavity feeling like it needed to expel its contents constantly. Admittedly I find the effect to be more Euphoric with this ROA. It is a pain in my ass.
My desire to IM Subs is influenced by the fact that I need 1/8th the oral dose and lasted all day. At almost 50 bucks per week I felt like I was wasting my cash taking it as prescribed.

I know what I must do now. get some micron filters of course. I like to plug but only on occasion, when there is no worry of public anal leakage or rather that nagging feeling of.
I appreciate everyone's help. It gave me the scare I needed to change this nasty habit.
Cheers all

I just need to find a place that sells micron filters in the great white north (canada)...not easy... I will likely need to get them online with out credit and or a credit card.

If you are in major Canadian cities you should be able to ask at health clinics and pharmacies to see if they carry micron/wheel filters.

Purchasing them online is definitely the easiest, get a pre-paid credit card and a PO box if you must. Buy a box of 1000 and give 'em to your friends.
