So I just started at a new Suboxone doc and he gives me 8 mg a day, but tells me he tests urine to see what level of metabolite is in the urine. This apparently allows him to tell if I am taking the full dose. Just an FYI, I don't, I take 4 mg a day. I had been prior to seeing him with leftovers form another doc, I had started up using them before I saw the new doc.
I am just wondering if anyone knows how accurate this test is and if anyone is/has been in similar situation? This is because I would like to save them up because there are multiple possibilities that could arise that might cause me to lose the steady Rx for the Suboxone, and then I will be wishing I had a stockpile and going back to dope. I do know I can increase BA through alcohol and
Also anyone know a good and safe way to increase the metabolite levels in my urine just for the short period of time I need to urinate for the doc? Would taking one full 8 mg dose say 4-6 hours prior to the test show levels similar to taking 8 mg daily? Would exercising help by metabolizing quicker and show a higher level of metabolites? What about a CYP34A inducer like garlic or st johns wort, could that increase metabolite levels?
Obviously this doc runs a bit of a strict program, he even said it himself. I do know this is becoming more common and like the doc says its to avoid diversion of the meds, I don't plan to do that, just want them for myself. And honestly its rubbish because even the people buying Suboxone on the street are doing so to get clean (I have done it myself before) or prevent themselves having to commit crimes to feed their habit.
